CANCELLED

Dear Latinx Community,

We are mindful of the news regarding the spread of Covid-19 across the nation. Your individual health, and our collective salud, are important to us. The LENYIS executive committee, in consultation with LREI (our host school), and advice from the CDC  regarding community gatherings have made the following decision to cancel our conference this year. Be well. Care for the elders in your community. Be mindful of ways that you convene in large spaces, and know that our hearts are with you and our extended familia.

Our History

Dear Latinx community,

Welcome to LENYIS! We are happy that you are interested in learning more about our organization. Latinx Educators In New York Independent Schools (LENYIS). LENYIS was founded fifteen years ago by Zenaida Muslin. Our goal is to bring together Latino educators in New York independent schools in order to share our experiences, identify our individual and collective needs, find solutions to recurring issues, and celebrate our many cultures. In addition to nourishing ourselves, LENYIS sets out to consider the needs of our independent schools LatinX students and their families.
